take a break week

So I didn't realize I was a bit behind until given the chance to catch up. ha! Especially on the RSS feeds. I have finally subscribed to some co-workers blogs, and noticed that I had some comments on my blog! Took me a while to notice that one....

LibraryThing

I already have a goodreads account so I will not create a LibraryThing. I would like to share the Teens and Technology Committee's LibraryThing account which we have linked to our teen myspace.

image generator

I tried the "Motivator" poster on http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/

The picture was blurry though, so I tried to get it "hi-res" since they offered that option....however it costs to do that. I will try something else tomorrow.

new technology - pod casts

We finally have some pod casts! Or excellent Seed of Change worker, Christina, has recorded a pod cast about a teen book for us which can be found on our test page http://jaxpubliclibrary.org/teens/podcast.html

The sound quality isn't that great (at least on my computer), but hey, it's a start. Special thanks to Andrew Coulon of the Teens and Technology Committee for his pod casting expertise and to Linda Eckersen for linking up our test page. I am sure there will be more to come!

technology continued...

Today's headline - "Watch Google Maps; Watch the First Coast: To celebrate its one-year anniversary, Google Maps has added Jacksonville and the surrounding areas to the cities that are included in its "Street View" feature." I saw my home street and the street that the Main Library is on....pretty cool, pretty cool.
